Altoona, WI | I will disagree with you on the manned mission thing, to Mars particularly. There are simply too many things that cannot be done remotely. Especially since there are some VERY interesting things to be checked out on Mars that simply could not be done with rovers.
BUT, the government needs to get out of the hardware part of space travel and leave that to the likes of SpaceX, who have shown they can do it for pennies on the dollar compared to NASA, who should be limited to the science and research part of it. | |
