| Had a neighbor who cut hay with a 1209 and if you ever had one you knew the reel is the weak point on those. Anyway, it self destructed and ran itself through the conditioner rolls one evening and the next day him and his son collected all the bent and mangled pieces and managed to straighten and piece it all back together over the course of the next two days. As you can imagine it made it another 20 acres or so before it came apart again, this time they had to admit it was too far gone finally. Same guy was known for being kind of ornery but one day he noticed I had a duct tape boot keeping air in my front lawnmower tire. He gave me an approving nod and we became very close until he passed.
