That was a secondary issue. The root cause of the problems they were having with it was directional control thrusters that were failing during spaceflight.

Again, what boggles my mind is that Boeing "claims" to know what caused the problem and NASA plans to certify the damn thing for crewed missions without another test flight. Yes, the last one was "crewed", but they were basically test pilots.
