coast of Maine | All of the history of families and life is a very good read.Brings back tears at times.I always figured as we never went to bed hungry or cold ,had mom/dad whom wanted us to study hard and read a lot,,I had a great upbringing.Were there times of being cheap,,yes but not out of ignorance but of need.Mom was a unique person who could make great food from what we grew.I can remember going to the village store and bank on Fridays with her before I was in school.She bought the basics to cook and bake with.I would look up at the Matchbox toy display and dream.Had friends whom had a bunch of those toys,,now I can see that they ha d really lousy family lives,,we had little money but caring mom/dad. | |
