| My all time favorite is a guy told me he was a plumber.
Now I knew he bought a farm, and probably paid cash.
A few days later some heavy machinery showed up I didn't recognize. That meant it wasn't a local construction outfit.
By then I had talked to him some and questioned him.
He reiterated he was a plumber. He did plumbing for work for large cities and large buildings. Sewer systems and water systems etc.
It is funny the ideas folks have about farmers.
I have had folks think I didn't do anything and could take off on a whim.
When I explained I needed to be home for harvest they said they thought I had people for that. | |
