N.E. MO | I could not agree more with WYDave’s comment. Use the resume as a tool to get an interview. Call and follow up. Do whatever it takes to get a in-person interview. Sell yourself at the interview. And I would also add, to openly do some interviewing yourself. Ask a lot of questions and show interest in the potential employer and position. Might get led to a position that isn’t what they are initially hiring for in the first place. Sell YOU, not just your skills for the position you’re interviewing for. But, don’t sell anything you aren’t capable of or aren’t willing to do.
All that said, I do believe it is much more difficult to secure an interview than it used to be. | |
