Subject: RE: Old Carpenter Plane

Western Oregon
My wife's grandfather came from England in 1930 on a ship. I forget, the Queen Mary I? He was a carpenter. He worked in the ship yards in Long Beach during the war. He had a big wood tool box as big as a trunk only heavier built, from when he worked as a carpenter in England. I think it may have belonged to his father before him. His only daughter, wife's mother, inherited it. M-I-L willed it to my Son as I already had a nice tool set. 5-6 beautiful dark wood planes. Wife's brother inherited his and her fathers tools, he was an electrician in the ship yards during the war and later worked on the oil platforms around Long Beach. His box was metal, about the same size. His wife, my wife's mother worked in the ship yards too as a riveter but her name was Wilma....James
