politicians in Canada are using the tariffs as a tool to get reelected with a new mandate. no way will the liberals do any negotiation with the US at this time...polls showing citizens backing a strong retaliatory response to US sanctions. Canadian Gov is sacrificing western farmers for eastern votes, probably not unlike what happens in the US.
Bessent is ready to talk Canada.
