This would have to be the definition of "tighter than bark on a tree". Was helping pack up an old guys house and in the attic there was a small box labeled, "String. Too short to use." It was filled with little bits of cotton string about a foot long.
That reminds me of cutting off twine that had wrapped up on a roller and saving those pieces to tie off feed sacks. Recycling at it's finest. |
