East Central SD | My Dad was born during the depression, but adopted his parents ways. He wasn't embarrassingly cheap, but I'm still finding his electric fence posts from time to time. You see, he would cut up old dump rakes to salvage the 12' 3x3 angle iron from the frame. He couldn't stand throwing away the teeth, so he would heat them up and straighten them, and use them for electric fence posts. I have to admit that they worked well, except for the ones that never got a sickle section welded on- they would have a tendency to spin in the ground. | |
