My military experience was working in a hospital, not aerial combat or incursions. However I've been around and involved in aviation since 1973. 

If I were trying to perform or practice any military training at night with a drone, I'd most certainly shut the lights OFF. Drones, nor airplanes need lights to fly. I think most good-intention citizens always reported seeing "lights".
