Subject: Drone sightings in NJ earlier this year....

Chebanse, IL.....

Remember the millions of drones that were sighted doing "weird stuff", only at night, over various NJ sites earlier this year? Many said that not enough was being done to bring them down for being nuisance causers. Some AgTalkers were willing to let their shotgun skills put an end to the situation. Some suggested using heavier arms to cure the problem

It seems the final reports are in, though I'm sure many won't believe them. But, it's a good thing that the Davy Crockett types didn't start firing away into the night sky. Might've made more news than they had planned for.

In summary, most everything was conventional aviation (= not drones) that people insisted were drones. I'll link the article describing the agencies involved in the investigations, almost immediately even though the public was saying no one was doing anything about them. Those govt agencies were using some very sophisticated equipment to track down......nothing.

Here's link to the entire article from DroneLife website.#mce_temp_url#

The information for the article was gleaned at the National Public Safety UAS (drone) Conference at Busch Gardens, VA on March 11-12, 2025.

Here's copy/paste of one paragraph describing some of the machinery used to try & discover the drone incursions

Initial reports of drone activity at Picatinny Arsenal, Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster, and various locations in Somerset County triggered significant concern. Authorities quickly mobilized, deploying intelligence teams and surveillance equipment. Aeroscope monitoring revealed that the activity did not match typical commercial drone flights.

Further analysis suggested that suspected “dark drones” were not using standard RF communication and were observed in coordinated swarm formations of four to five drones. However, despite deploying counter-UAS assets, authorities were unable to confirm the presence of rogue drones. Heat mapping of reported sightings revealed a significant overlap with inbound and outbound manned aircraft flight routes, supporting expert opinions that most of the sightings were misidentifications.
