Ludington/Manistee MI area | Do titles matter? At work I was in a meeting that probably had 15 people from our site talking via Microsoft teams to get sign off on a project from corporate. Everyone had a fancy title except me. Came my turn to introduce myself I stated my name and said my humble title of Infrastructure Operator. Got 2/3 way through meeting the VP of operations at corporate asked this question the other people in the room looked like deer in the headlights total silence. Not being my first project like this I answered and explained why we plan to do this the way we are. Yup good share of the folks in the have 4 year degrees and the community college dropout without a fancy title baled you out. The VP of operations thanked me for explaining this to him. So did fancy titles matter? |
