East ks | A few years back, while on vacation, the family and I stopped at a fast food place in St Louis. I was wearing an old NK+ hat at the time. The little lady who was taking orders inquired. What school is that. I proceeded to explain it was a seed corn company. I received a rather puzzled look. I explained I was a farmer and the company gave hats to the customers who purchased seed to raise field corn. She refused to believe I was a farmer. I asked why the disagreement. She explained that I and the family didn’t look like farmers. Of course I asked what a farmer was supposed to look like. She reluctantly replied “well, you know, muddy boots, and overalls!”……. | |
