Eastern SD | Flighting is made to be flush. Overlap is usually from somebody patching. I would drill a small hole in the thinnest looking part of your tube to see how thin it is. Might be time to replace the tube while your at it. I would weld about 4-6 inches on both sides of the flighting across the joints and then the same on the opposite side of the tube to balance it out. Make sure you weld some on each side as you go to keep it from warping. Gusseting the flighting near the door will help a lot. | |
