Galena IL | You have a 5th wheel running gear their, be carful not to turn very sharp. That gear most likely had a NH3 tank on it that would not twist. A gravity box will twist and is much heavier on one side. 5th wheel wagons trail great, just keep the hitch in front not to the side. As for your hub if you can not find a number on it, take the dust cap off, take the cotter key out, take the castle nut off, pull the hub off, remove both bearing cones and clean them up. clean the cups ( the part the cone runs on) with a clean rag if they are not nice and shiny take a punch an drive them out. (their will be a notch in the hub to allow this) The bearings, the seal, will have numbers the dust cap you will need to measure. Get at least 2 sets so when goes bad you have time to another. When reinstalling tighten the castle nut tight then back it off between a 1/4 to a 1/3 of a turn to line the cotter pin up, check that the wheel turns with only a slight drag.... Dennis | |
