First thing I'd do (and I did this for the same reasons) is get away from spinners and get air booms to do it.
Spinners are quicker, cheaper, but the air booms are more accurate, day in and day out, but they take maintenance.


btw, the bottom pic looks more like tile than fertilizer. You can see the dark strip running left to right in the center and looks like a draw, and then there's the dark strip that runs diagonally. Just looks more like moisture than fertilizer to me.
