Parker, SD | We went from a 1063 on a legacy machine to a 3408 when we bought our flagship, ran couple years, rebuilt new knives and square drives, worked ok first season or too probably but it shells really bad, especially early morning, we had one row this season more corn was coming out the bottom then going in the machine.
Agreed if you have the money go for a 4408 if you want red, they sure look better designed, I've never ran one, or find and off brand, we ordered a brand new Capello for next season, demoed one last fall on 200 acres and pretty happy with it. Was dealing on a new 4408 also, came down to warranty and price, Capello had 2 year warranty and roughly same price.
Check dealer on new before looking at used 4408s, seems half the used ones are priced higher then we could get the new one for, after trade ofcourse. | |
