coast of Maine | Tariffs can and do at times allow other local producers to gain market share.The importer has to charge more to stay in biz.The buyers sees the cost increase and searches for a local supplier.It is quite simple really.If the importer cannot cut costs he loses the biz.There are many on here that will have poor results and others whom will be smiling as importers are then on a more level cost basis.One could do away with nay tariff if the rule of like kind pay,same environmental rules,same freedoms was applied to all importers ,,this is the answer.USA farmers can compete with any other country that has the same rules of the game. | |
