Subject: Re: MAGNUMS 72, 89, or MX Series

Western Nebraska
We have a 7220 and it is by far the best tractor we have ever had. As another poster said the 72 series were some of the best tractors case ever made. Ours spends most of its time on a 28ft. airseeder. It can pull it about 5mph with no trouble. The repairs have been minimal with really no down time since we bought it. It is a 94 model and some of the hoses are starting to need replaced. We have had more than 3000 hours on it without it ever seeing the inside of the mechanics shop. You won't regret a purchase of one of these tractors. We had a Case mechanic tell us that after they came out with the 72 and 89 series that their mechanics weren't kept busy enough so the engineers were given their marching orders. That was when they came out with the MX series. Now the mechanics are up to their eyes in work. I don't know if the guy was trying to be funny or if there is some truth to the story. The one part I do know is that the 72 series tractors are very trouble free.
