Yup basically as you said. You save the line in the planting monitor, then transfer the line to the cultivating monitor, and then it should all match up. You'd likely use a USB stick to move the fields between monitors. Make sure to give your fields proper names at planting time so that you aren't guessing a couple weeks later.
