Subject: RE: Mycoplasma Outbreak During Calving

Study up. Mycoplasma can (will) be passed to the Calf In the Uterus, through the milk, from another infected animal, from the soil like Black Leg. How to Deal with it? Cull anything that loses a Calf or is a carrier. The Land Grant Universities should be spending Vast amounts of time and resources trying to solve the Mycoplasma problem. Clearing an infected animal takes twice as much Antibiotic and twice the length of time compared to pneumonia. Never trust a single dose antibiotic to treat Myco.
