Subject: RE: Calving in Lot VS on Pasture

NE Iowa
I do alot on my own. So I like dry lotting. Everything is on cement or dirt but can lock them on cement when muddy. I fight scours more but I don't have to worry about fence and cattle getting out. Works for me because I also farm about 2200 acres. When planting comes I need to go. I shoot to calve in mid February to now. Get them going then the hard part is done before planting. When it drys up I do run them on the dirt and stalks more to help with scours.
