Edit to add: i looked them up and the label said to use on calves over a month old. Is that a hard rule? What about a couple weeks old? It said one bolus for every 50 pounds?
This cures 95% of our scours and we do use scour guard on the cows 30 days prior to calving. I give 2 boluses then retreat with 1 bolus 1-2 days afterward if scours are still present. I will use them on any age of calf. When I was at valley vet a month ago they said you need a prescription from the vet to purchase them now. Luckily I stocked up a couple years ago after there was a shortage.
