| Here's a couple schematics.....look at the up-close one and find the yellow circuit....that's the regulated/transmission pressure circuit. If you look at the solenoids on each end of each remote valve....they use regulated pressure and proportional current from the Aux. controller to move the main spool in the direction desired. Anything under 250psi gets pretty iffy as far as spool movement....on the first STX Steigers, we ran regulated at 270psi originally. When the oil got hot, regulator spring got weak, etc., the ability to control the spool precisely became more difficult. When you ran the remote in retract/lower position at 100%, the valve spool would tend to overshoot....and go into the float position. On those tractors you would see more flow at 85% flow...than see flow go down at 95-100% flow.
Regulated flow comes into the valve bank at the center manifold that all the remote valves/hitch valve mount to.
