Sioux County, NWIA | IF — IF the business knows right up front that the employee is illegal, that might work. But most often it is not that simple. If a business asks a potential employee for ID and that person produces something that looks legitimate, the business has no right to go on a witch hunt disproving the legitimacy of the ID.
Everybody would be much better off if becoming a legal citizen was incentivized rather than discouraged. | |
