Faunsdale, AL | It’s tight but I helped do exactly that job on a 4630 a couple years ago. We built the tool that bolts to the rock shaft cylinder in place of the head.
It takes a long lever on it because the 4630 rockshaft is heavy. We built it with about 3’ of 2” box tubing and ended up with a 6’ pry bar stuck in that. One guy 230 pounds on the end of the pry bar and the other adjusting the cherry picker and watching as it came down. Pretty slick for just lifting the rear of the cab 6” or so. We got all we could, might have been more than 6”.
New pump and manifold plus tubes will be different I think. | |
