Georgia | I Feel a little dumb asking but better be safe than sorry. I have a 4630 quad range with transmission pump problems that I need back to get back to the farm for repair. Currently it is sitting in the field a little less than 1 mile from the farm. Luckily to get back to the farm it’s all field, no road travel Needed except I will need to cross a 2 lane county road to get it from the field across into the driveway. All flat ground. My question is can I simply hook a chain to the front and pull it back with my 2640 (75hp) and a driver sitting in the seat of the 4630 without damaging the tractor? Obviously with the issues I’m having with the tractor I don’t have brakes or shifting or any hydraulics. Really don’t want to mess it up worse than it already is by doing something stupid. I wouldn’t even consider it if it wasn’t flat ground. I have moved tractors this way around the farm yard but Never this distance. Thank you and god bless | |
