| Agree. You’re over reacting a bit. We use a highline but the concept is the same. Well put 3-4000 straw bales through a winter. Hammer 50 bales, grab a 18mm olfa knife. 5 mins to cut it, 5 more to pull it out. Forget about those little bits stuck in the hammers.
Most of the straw we use wouldn’t make it into the tub if you took the wrap off. Hay bales we take it off. Rarely do anymore with the shredder as we have a big grinder come in to process unwrapped hay for tmr.
