West Texas | Any place west of Austin will be a nice ride.
You could try riding west on I-10 from San Antonio. 80 mph speed limit makes for some quick riding, especially on bikes. Go at least as far as Ozona. Then turn south and head for the river. Real nice riding country and you'll see what Texas is REALLY about.
Forget all that coastal stuff. It's all flatlands and scrub (it's exactly like my area, with humidity added). :-D
If you have the time, I greatly recommend Big Bend National Park as a premier ride destination. | |
