Subject: Corn harvest 2009 continued (pics)

NW Minnesota

Went over this past weekend and helped my buddy combine some 330+ day corn.  Moisture was finally down to 18%, in mid December, before the big snows, it was around 28%.  Many thousand acres of corn left to combine in our area.  It is going to be another long wet spring.

Massey 860 just chugging away!

A little later in the day the sun finally decided to come out.

If it ain't smoking she ain't working!

Snow was fairly deep on the west end.

What year is this?  1986?  It's pretty rare these days to see an actual MF service truck.  This combine was purchased new from this dealer, my buddy is the second owner.  The dealer was out on friday morning to put new drive belts on, since one of them decided to let go on thursday night.  In this area of MN you still see quite a few Massey combines, one reason, there still is a dealer, Norman County Implement.
