Pittsburg, Kansas | The one meal a day thing is probably best for people needing to lose weight.
As we get older we do not utilize protein as efficiently. I would think for a person in the 70's or 80's having a couple of meat protein meals a day (or even three) is not a bad thing.
If a person is 50-300 pounds over ideal weight, a single meal a day preferably low in carbohydrates will get a person to a low insulin state where the excess body fat can be burned for fuel (utilizing for energy all those stored groceries a person has already paid for). That is where I see OMAD (one meal a day) best use.
My non doctor, non nutritionist, opinion only. Worth what you paid for it.
