Last pass of last year operator hooked stump with 2016 FD75. 35 foot. Pulled header way back on right wing. Now cutter bar is bent back and adapter has a few problems. I heard there is a shear bolt somewhere that is supposed to break when it hooks something. Has anyone heard about. Or where it would be?
I did the same thing, really bent it up including the adaptor frame. The shear bolt is not a bolt, but a cast bracket under the head near the center adaptor that will break and allow the wing to bend backwards. It's all in your operator's manual. If you don't have that, go to MacDon.com and look at them.
