Subject: Parallel arms, guage wheel arms, What's best?

Well, stirrin' the pot a little, but still valid questions.

So, for a long time the RK kit for the closing wheels seems to be maybe the best fix out there. Uses a bearing to replace the bushing.

Rk had the best fix for a while on the gauge wheel arms as well, but now lot of guys say to use one like Coyote, Norseman, etc. They use bearings.

Now to date there are a couple fixes out there that use bearings for the parallel arms. Consensus on here seems to be that this is a poor idea in this application and to stick with a bushing type fix. Most common seems to be that the bearings are only making partial revolutions and bearings don't last that way.

Why does a bearing in these other 2 locations seem to be the best option for longevity, as well as smoothness and ability to keep tight tolerances, but bearings in the parallel arms is a bad idea?

--I have used RK in closing wheels for many years and have never replaced a bearing. Am looking at gauge wheel arms and wondering how Norseman and Coyote compare, I'm leaning Norseman for price at this point. Also, I did recently purchase the PPS parallel arms, mostly from the talk on here, but keep "looking over the fence" at the bearing style.
