I have a press but if you let the tires cure 2 years or more this method works better for me on the stiff tires.
We had an entire pallet of tires bought cheap at an auction. Didn’t see at the time they were for the older style wheels. Got one mounted after some struggle. Set it on the floor of the shop and heard a loud pop. Tire had split in half! Ended up selling the pallet to another guy. It was too good of a deal to be true. |
