I bought a 5488 IH several years ago that was always slow to turn over for some reason. All ‘56,’66, and’86 series were great cold starters. Went through the battery cables and grounds, put in over size batteries and rebuilt starter…… and still was not happy. Finally put a gear reduction starter on it to solve the problem.
