As often as needed. I used to have to do mine once a week in the winter. Then I had my well swabbed and haven't had to do it since then.

Is this well still being produced by the oil/gas company? They pull their gas out of a tube that goes in the top of the casing. Often their is a rabbit in their tubing. The rabbit goes down and then brings up brine/oil which then goes through a big separator and into a brine tank when they produce the well.

Your free gas should be coming from the casing. Less likely to get brine from the casing unless they are not producing. In that case, because you are pulling gas out and they are not, the brine can come up the casing and eventually get into your line. Again, if they are producing the well, then the pressure on their tube should be lower than the casing pressure and brine/oil will go up the tube even if they don't have a rabbit.
