Subject: RE: Banjo Regulating Valve Wiring Question

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Im not familiar with that style using four wires.

From the drawing it appears that having red + white - with the other two floating would cause the valve to open fully.

Having the black + green - with other two floating should cause valve to close fully.

With all four wires floating the valve would not move. You could test this by connecting the red and white to a 12V battery to see if the valve opens.

Also test the black and green pair to see if the valve closes. Both times leave the other pair disconnected.

If the valve works properly i have a an idea so that by using 2 relays and 2 diodes that this valve could be used with your Raven.

If you find that all 4 wires must be used then I have a different plan

The two wire model would just plug in and be much less confusing.
