I am more concerned with the constitutionality of the manner in which the process is going about. I never thought in my lifetime that the righties would willingly look the other way as unchecked power is given to an unelected unvetted individual. Letting the richest man in the world decide what is waste while ignoring the conflict of interest that he has is beyond comprehension.

Musk decides that USAID should be eliminated, even though congress voted to fund. Convenient to eliminate the organization as USAID was in the process of investing fraud that Starlink was involved in.

The party of law and order has decided to look the other way as laws are being broken in the pursuit of DOGE activities.

Conservatives are upset filling out census information for privacy reasons, yet look the other way as Musk installs hard drives to collect your social security and personal blank account information for use in Musks companies.

Wasteful spending should definitely be cut. But it needs to be done with the proper mechanisms that was envisioned by the creation of balance of powers that are the bedrock of our constitution.
