eastern sd | I got this fixed, eventually I removed the fuel pump relay under the hood and used a paper clip to jump the connection to turn the fuel pump on and it took right off and pump fuel out the disconnected line at the fuel rail. I had tried swapping relays with no luck and the original relay bench tested fine. The other side of that relay grounds through the body control module when the key is on and all safety features are found to be OK. I thought that ground circuit had too much resistance on an ohm meter but I couldn't quite make sense of it. Finally just used a test light to test that ground circuit and it light up right away so then I knew both circuits connected to the relay were good. That pretty much narrowed it down to the relay itself which I knew was good so I then suspected the connection between the relay and it's socket, cleaned up pins on relay with emery cloth and stuck it in truck fired right up and ran great ever since. Have a new relay for it but haven't put it in yet. | |
