You can run 2 x external receivers on an FMX for levelling, or run the 2 x Internal receivers, (but you need to have the internal receivers unlocked to RTK/GNSS). We've been running NAV-900's on them for FieldLevel, but I don't think you can use any old receiver outputting NMEA, they usually use TSIP to communicate, which is a Trimble only protocol.


We have run NMEA into our FMX from a Leica receiver for both ditching and yield mapping. Aside from Trimble's yield monitoring issues it worked fine.
