It's been one year now since we bought our hybrid RAV 4 and we are extremely pleased with the vehicle. The worst fuel mpg is around 33 mpg driving 80 mph on a freeway, but around home we consistently get 40-50 mpg. But that aside I would buy it again just for the performance. The performance is outstanding for a family vehicle. I bought a Toyota because of the outstanding reliability as they have been making them for over 20 years with outstanding reliability. You also have to remember there is no transmission to give you trouble.


Toyota calls the transmission/transaxle "eCVT". Rav4 uses a P710 transaxle, very very reliable. Rav4 Prime uses P810 transaxle. YT link below for detailed explanation
