Subject: RE: gas furnace pilot light?

Northwest Iowa
Does the pilot seem to be a strong enough or normal flame? I had one years ago prior to the electronic ignition that seemed weak and would blow out from a slight breeze. I changed the thermocouple to no avail. I took the diffuser out on the pilot line. I blew backwards with air and took a pin and "drilled" a larger hole in the filter material. Not a lot of difference in the hole size but the flame was more robust. No more trouble after that.
