Well moving into the 21st century by buying an air fryer surprised me.  It's a hotplate heating element on top with a fan behind it!

It does work okay AND the suggestion that I get parchment paper led me to find disposable parchment paper liners https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BJZMT6YC?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title which pretty much eliminate clean up.

I did a boneless pork chop and the thermometer said 150°, but when I cut it, it was still not cooked in the middle.  Back into the old technology microwave for a minute and it was great.

Overall it's going to work fine for what I want.  It's cooking steak and pork in a way I like the looks and taste better than a microwave and less fuss than the oven.  I do look forward to spring and using the grill again though.  42.67847222222222 days until spring as of this moment 6:19AM 02/05/2025
