Same idea, problem is you don't burn that much fuel planting. I did the rough numbers once, and a hardworking "dirty" engine could fix N in the range of the value of the diesel, maybe a few pounds of N per gallon of diesel, so not much per acre for planting, but a nice bonus since you're burning the diesel anyway, so far...
