I bought a 665C new. First couple thousand hours it was ok but after that it was a nightmare. Lot of hydraulic problems. If you just wanted to do tillage or grain cart was fine. But bulk fill planter with vacuum just always fought it. At 4000 hours had to put injectors in which was $20,000. I got rid of it.

You got screwed...Injectors are $1029.99 each TODAY, cheaper 15 years ago when those were newer...and take about 8-10 hours to put in, so even at stupid CAT shop rates, labor should have been $2500 max. Last set I changed all 6 I charged $6900 in 2024 money.

That right there is why Challenger wheel tractor resale is the way it is, CAT shops charging dumb money for simple tasks because they can. Thankfully most of the worst ones have weeded themselves out of the market over last 20 years.
