There is a guy in Colorado that has a program call HGIS with dealers all over the U.S. HGIS runs on desktops/laptops and PowerPC handhelds and is a basic no-frills program but it gets the job done. The website is www.starpal.com . I'm not sure on the exact price but I know it's less than $500 which will get you one copy on a desktop and a copy on the handheld.
