Subject: Stars aligned, I bought the farm next door


Kingdom of Callaway - Fulton, Mo 65251		I've spent 54 years looking across the fence at this 115 acre farm. I worked for the old owner some as a kid, he died when I was 13. His son owned the farm since then, but no one has lived there. The fences are shot, they logged part of it and left a mess, the buildings and infrastructure are all needing removed, and the trees are overtaking the fields. Its just kind of been neglected. But it's ours!

The son is in his 80's now, and he came to me recently and offered it to me. He made it affordable for me because he knows I'll clean it up, use it, and not split it up. My family really appreciated that.

We replaced the fence between us 8 years ago, and installed a gate in case a cow got on the wrong side. It sure was fun opening it for the first time and just walking across. We are starting to re-fence the whole farm, and build a fence on my existing farm to run cattle back and forth easily.
