Subject: Sears farm stores in the 30s (pictures)

north-central Indiana west of Fulton
I vaguely remember our nearby town having a Sears farm store which was a small version of the farm stores today….. this would have been in the early to mid 60s. They did not offer tractors however. , that probably ended by 1940. Sears contracted to sell farm tractors from three different manufacturers that I know of from 1930 or so on for several years. We have examples of each of those.
A friend bought this picture of a Milwaukee Sears farm store on eBay. It shows a big display of Graham Bradley tractors that they offered. It appears to have factory people on or in the picture because of the white coveralls. Factory was near Detroit. It must have been 1939, because all tractors are ‘39s except one ‘38. They only made them from’37 until’39.
The main Sears store is large V shaped building , with the farm store behind it across a large parking lot. Figured that out from google map photos. The buildings are still there but abandoned at this time.
Pictured first is the farm store in ‘39 and then more recently. The main store in 1930 and then recently.
