I highly recommend any and all who see it, click on and watch such an historic event. Hard to imagine we were at a pivotal point in time where a Soviet leader would stand in front of the United Nations and make a suggestion/request that all nations demilitarize down to the level of simple, small militias with nothing more powerful than small arms to regulate the peace. Where did we go wrong at this moment in time, why did nations not sieze the opportunity? Guess it all boiled down to trust, or lack of it. “You go first, but I’m gonna hold back a couple items just in case….” Such a different world back then.
